Programme “Advocacy for the rights of veterans:policy making> Training programme for the representatives of the local self-government bodies” is implemented by the NGO “Kyiv school of public administration named after Serhiy Nyzhnyy” supported by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine with the financial support of Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The objective of the initiative is to provide comprehensive knowledge and skills to representatives of local self-government bodies for effective work on the formation and implementation of local policies aimed at supporting, reintegrating veterans and protecting their rights.
The result of the project should be the development of local programs for the reintegration of veterans and action plans for them, and their further ratification by the decision of local council sessions.
PROGRAMME IS AIMED AT:
Development of a program of strategic development and implementation of veteran policy at the local level
Increasing trust and mutual understanding between veterans and local government representatives through open dialogue and joint initiatives
Promoting the social integration of veterans into local communities through the formation of a targeted approach in the provision of services to veterans and their family members
Establishing interaction with representatives of local business
