The “PRO Leadership” Program Returns — Applications Now Open for Young Doctors!

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Kyiv School of Public Administration named after Serhiy Nyzhnyy, with the support of the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine, announce the launch of applications for the “PRO Leadership” program.


The program is aimed at developing a community of young leaders in the healthcare sector — responsible, proactive, and ready to drive change. Participants will gain not only knowledge but also practical tools to implement new approaches in their professional work. The curriculum covers leadership, emotional intelligence, effective communication, an overview of the healthcare system, digital innovation, and other key topics.


Who can apply?Medical interns and young doctors (up to 35 years old) from the following regions of Ukraine: Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.The program is expected to expand to other regions in the future.


Format of participation

Applications are open for two study groups. The training will take place in Kyiv and will consist of two modules (six days of offline learning). Participants may indicate their preferred dates, with final group assignments determined by the organizers.


Training dates:

Group 1 — April 28–30 and May 12–14, 2026Group 2 — May 26–28 and June 9–11, 2026

An additional cohort will be organized in the fall, with selection taking place during the summer.

The program includes lectures by top speakers, training sessions, and practical visits to government institutions and healthcare facilities, as well as strategic planning and team development.

As part of the program, participants will also take part in a final event at the end of the year, bringing together experts, practitioners, and the healthcare leadership community.

Participants must be available to attend all six days of in-person training in Kyiv.


The number of places is limited — the most motivated candidates will be selected. Applicants will be notified of the results by the organizers via the provided contact details.


Application deadline: April 15, 2026 (inclusive)


Travel (with valid tickets), accommodation, and meals are covered by the organizers. Travel reimbursement applies to second-class Intercity trains, sleeper compartments, or buses. Fuel costs are not reimbursed.
